January 26, 2012There are about 15MM Alzheimer’s and dementia caregivers which contribute free of charge, 17 billion hours which is valued at $202 billion dollars. It's defined by an annual report that caregivers are also encountering their own battle with physical and emotional stress. Because of the assessment of caregiving on their own health, Alzheimer’s and dementia caregivers had $7.9 billion in added value costs in 2010. More than 60 % of caregivers address top levels concerns because of the abiding continuance of caregiving and 33 percent address affection of depression.
Alzheimer’s is the sixth-leading genetic effect disease cause of death in the United States and the top 10 disease that cannot be prevented, treated or even slowed. Based on death data from 2000-2008, the total amount of deaths have decreased significantly in general. However, Alzheimer’s disease mortality has risen by 66%, along the same time.
